Dr. Sally Lauterjung grew up in Dover, Ohio and began her studies of dentistry at Ohio State University in Columbus.  After obtaining her Certificate in Dental Hygiene, she was accepted for admission to The College of Dentistry in 1987.  She quickly found her love of working with children and was accepted for post-doctoral training at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia after graduation.

The post-doctoral training program encompassed disciplines such as behavior guidance, care of the medically and developmentally compromised and disabled patients, supervision of orofacial growth and development, caries prevention, sedation, pharmacological management and hospital dentistry, as well as other traditional fields of dentistry.  She excelled at working with the other dental and medical specialists at the Medical College of Georgia hospital and University Hospital there, providing comprehensive care for hospitalized patients.  Dr. Sally earned the Hospital Dentistry award for outstanding contribution to pediatric dental patients.

After completing her post-doctoral training, she married and moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, while her husband finished his Masters degree.  While there, she worked with an outstanding pediatric dentist and mastered the day-to-day workings of a successful pediatric dental practice.  The Lauterjungs moved to Ohio in 1994 and Dr. Sally opened her practice in 1995.  Since that time she has worked diligently to provide the highest caliber pediatric dental care for the children of Medina and its surrounding communities.
